Wir sind so unfassbar traurig! We are so sorry for your loss!
We had such a good time drinking Manhatten and St. Pauli Girl Beer with Onkel Ernst in Florida and Queens. He was always so funny and we love spending time with him. He never forgot the German football club Blumenthaler SV where he and his brothers played in their youth in Bremen.
It is so sad but we are happy that he will be back together again with his love Tante Irene. We miss both of them.

Und nun müssen wir uns auch von eurem Vater, Schwiegervater, Opa, Uropa und unserem Onkel Ernst verabschieden.
Wir trauern mit euch um einen besonderen Menschen.
Onkel Ernst wird uns immer als ein humorvoller, lebenslustiger, charakterstarker Mann in Erinnerung bleiben, der stets für seine Lieben sorgte und selbst kaum Ansprüche stellte.
Wann und wo auch immer wir ihm begegnet sind spürten wir seine Energie und Lebensfreude. Er war in der Lage seine Mitmenschen damit anzustecken.
Nun ging seine Kraft zu Ende und wir gönnen ihm die Ruhe an der Seite seiner lieben Frau.
Wir wünschen euch viel Kraft für diese schwere Zeit.
