A loving mother and wife, Frances was born and raised in New York and aspired to be a secretary. After graduating from high school, she attended secretarial school where she won the Pitman Award for shorthand. Her first job was in the editing department of American Book Strafford Press. Frances then went on to work for the editorial department for NBC Studios in Manhattan. After marrying, she became a stay-at-home mother to care for her six children. Frances returned to the workforce when her children were teenagers and again began working as a secretary for the 3M Corporation. To further her career, Frances went back to school to learn various computer programs and later worked as a secretary for a prominent engineering firm until the age of 65. Being a very social individual, she then worked as a product demonstrator until her retirement at the age of 73. Frances was an active member of her church and enjoyed caring for her eleven grandchildren.
