It is with great sadness that the family of Frank Cangelosi announces his passing on August 1, 2022 at the age of 91. Both a proud Sicilian and immigrant to the United States, Frank came to this country with “empty pockets” then proudly built a thriving business and lived the American dream. Full of life and stories, Frank always sought to offer helpful advice and lend a hand to those in need. Beyond family, his two great loves were work and gardening. For 59 years he led Lore Decorators, building it into one of the leading upholstery businesses in New York City. Lore Decorators has long been a family affair and is currently led by his son, with Frank’s brother, daughters and many others contributing over the years. Frank is lovingly remembered by his children, Maria, Frank (Andrea), and Florence (Tom); grandchildren, Rebecca, Nicole, Ryan, Thomas, Finn, and Kaylee; as well as numerous other family members and friends in both the U.S. and Italy. His wife of 38 years, Florence, preceded him in death, as did his five siblings.
