So, my handsome, funny, devoted & much beloved Uncle J passed yesterday, the 27th day of June. I thought he would exit this plane of existence on my Dad's anniversary. Instead, he decided that Steve had the 26th for 40 years and wanted a day of his very own. And so our family tradition of departures in June continues and still cuts deep. It's the reason those of us left behind unilaterally are wary of the entire month. He is free and, alas, we are left with a spot he carved for 91 years. A spot no one else can ever fill. I will carry him in my heart everyday until we meet again. Until then, be well - you brave, adventurous, lovely soul! So grateful you came to play as my Godfather. Rest well - this life was a job so well done!
