On May 14, 2023, beloved mother, grandmother, and widow, passed away at the age of 82 years young. She is survived by her son Robert Bambach.

Trudy was born in Brooklyn, New York to Valentine and Elly Brand and was raised in Maspeth, New York along with her sister Florence. Trudy was a High School graduate and started working at New York Life insurance company where she met her husband Robert John Bambach. They were inseparable when they first met until death they did part, and are now reunited in their heavenly abode along with their late daughter, Heidi Van Salisbury, who passed away only a few months prior to Trudy.

Trudy’s passion for her children and especially her grandson took center stage in Trudy’s world. She also had a passion for knitting and crocheting where she was known to “knit like the wind”. She was a neat freak and everything had its place. Her memory and her stories were plentiful and boy, did she have some good ones.

Trudy’s incomparable kindness and beautiful smile were a true showing of her amazing soul. Her presence could light up any room. She was honest, sincere and was always willing to lend an ear or a helping hand. She was a devoted and loving wife, a strong yet forgiving mom, and a grandmother who would do anything for her grandson.

The world lost a beautiful soul on Mother’s Day.
