Harry is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Hack; his children, William and Tara; his sister Maryanne; his granddaughter Stella; and many blessed nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles, and aunts. Harry was born on March 18, 1957 in Queens, NY to Harry and Gloria Hack. After graduating from Holy Family High School in 1975, he enlisted in the Navy. On November 28, 1981 he married the love of his life, ‘Patti’. On June 4, 1982 and April 30, 1988 respectively, he welcomed his son and his daughter, the joys of his world.

Harry was a man of deep faith and a born-again Christian who’s life was spent putting Jesus Christ first. Harry was the textbook example of the family man, and was a role model to so many who knew him. He had a very special soul that shined through his humor and his personality that allowed him to leave an everlasting impression on anyone who crossed his path. A sincerely kind, generous, caring, loving, and thoughtful human being. He loved his railroad family, and will be painfully missed by all his family, friends, and those who knew him.

A viewing is scheduled for December 19th from 1pm to 4pm, and 6pm to 9pm at Massapequa Funeral Home South Chapel, 4980 Merrick Rd. A religious service will be offered Sunday at 8pm at the funeral home. His funeral will commence the following day at 10am and conclude at Calverton National Cemetery where he will be laid to rest with deserving military honors. Flowers, donations, and condolences may be offered to the Massapequa Funeral Home South Chapel. May he rest in beautiful peace.

I know Harry loved working for the railroad but in the early’90’s we had a lot of fun building the Tombstone/DiGiorno brand on Long Island! Harry became a celebrity on the East End appearing on radio stations and even the Writers/Artists Softball Game often with Tara at his side known as “Tombstone Harry” He was one of a kind! Rest in Eternal Peace!
