On behalf of St. Vincent's Services, our condolences and prayers go out to Jim's family. Jim worked on numerous projects for us, over the years. He was the consummate professional. Jim and I always updated each other on our college alma maters' athletic doings, particularly the football teams. I have enjoyed working with Jim and will forever be grateful for having known him.
Robert Lappetito left a message on March 28, 2016:
Jim worked with me on some projects and in my thirty years in the construction business never met a more professional and knowledgeable person. He was a gentleman at all times and a joy to work with.

Jo Ann, in the brief moment I once had the pleasure of meeting Jim, he struck me immediately as a nice man with a good heart. Emily and I are deeply saddened by your loss and will keep only good thoughts as you brave these tough times.

To my husband, my love, my friend, my partner, not only am I losing you I am losing a part of myself. The house is so empty without you here but Sean, Danny, James and I feel your presence everywhere we turn. You gave so much of yourself to James and me and the years went by too quickly for words. I guess that means we were having a really good time. You were the kindest, sweetest most caring man I ever met. At 6'2", white hair and blue eyes you stood out in a crowd. Someone you could talk to for 10 minutes and feel like you knew for 10 years. And that's basically what we got. A 10 minute chat lead to 10 amazing years. Full of bike rides, vacations, family barbecues, beaches, restaurants, movies and simple day to day life. You enjoy your new life and do not worry about me and James. I will take care of things here and make sure James turns out to be the handsome successful young man we both knew he would become. Hopefully just like you.And remember sweetheart, good-bye doesn't mean forever and certainly doesn't mean we'll never be together again.Love and kisses, Jo Ann

So very sad to hear about Jim's passing. No more pain and struggle. I will always remember when Jim told me a year ago at work he was sick with cancer, and was crying, but not for himself...for his family, his wife and son. His only concern was for them and was heart wrenching. God Bless Jim, and his family and help them through this very sad time and watch over them for their future. Jim will be your guardian angel and will be watching over you. Jim you will be missed. My sympathy and condolences to his family and friends.
