A dear friend of my mom and dad. Remember those Friday night drinks in the den before they headed out to dinner. Great man with a wonderful sense of humor.

Jack was my swim mentor and pool mate for many years. He was a story teller, music enthusiast, lifelong learner and a great listener. He enriched my life with his caring , support and wisdom. God bless Jack . My condolences to the Murphy Family.

Yes Jack was Mr. Pool: I met him when I lived in Lindenhurst from 2003 until 2008 and he noticed my absence when I subsequently moved back to Brooklyn . He titled the email “Missing.” What a pleasant man; I am sure he is swimming with angels now. God bless his soul.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

Jack was the unofficial "Mayor" of the pool, at LA Fitness and Bally's before that. He had a greeting, and usually a joke or comment, for everyone. His presence made the morning swim more fun, and the swimmers more of a community. He will be missed.

I knew him from Bally's too. He was always there in lane one welcoming and organizing lanes. He always reminded me when it was time to leave so as not to be late for work! He will be missed but not forgotten.
