IN MEMORIAM: ZIZI JOE 1926-2016: He was the personification of strength, of single-minded persistence, of manliness, of hard work, tough love, and rough play. My father, who worked by his side for many years, remembers that he had to be replaced by three men, whenever he took a vacation from the American Can Company factory in Brooklyn; where he fed heavy sheet metal forms into huge machines to manufacture beer and soda cans. Eight hours during the night shift, because he and my pop had a landscaping business during the day! He adored John Wayne; in fact identified with him. And no wonder - he was himself a tough guy. He had a wry sense of humor. Most of all, he was a worker. He got it done. He brooked no excuses. He demanded much. He had high standards. We will miss you, Zizi Joe. Say "hi" to Roy for us when you see him. Ciao!Love, Angelo, Maria, Roy, Jo-Jo, Stevey and I.
