Joseph V. Cooney passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family. Predeceased by his first wife Barbara, Joseph is survived by his loving wife Lorraine. Devoted father of Mary Cooney Theroux, Susan Bies (Peter), Barbara Tracey (William), Joseph (Banu), Andrew (Susanna), Paul, Monica Arav (Adrian), Raymond (Lori), Stephen (Anne-Michele), Edward Ahrens (Lori), James Ahrens (Melodee), Christopher Ahrens (Richard). Caring brother of Patricia Strout, Madeline Russo, David, the late John, the late Mary Williams, and the late Dennis. Cherished grandfather of 36 and great grandfather of 7. In lieu of flowers, the family asks to consider donating to the Marist Brothers who work with people in need.
