I was very sorry to hear of the passing of Joe. I have known Joe since 1981 as a member of various exchanges I had the honor of working with Joe on the WTC floor as well as lifting a pint or 2 with him in Dublin. He was always a man of dignity who kept his head under some hectic times and always with a smile. My condolences to the family, good bye Joe.

In 2004 my late wife Janis and I attended a costume party with Paul RT Johnson and Joe...going anywhere with Joe was a complete and utter joy!!

Joe was the first hand I shook entering the floor of of CEC on a warm summer day in July 1987. He had a smile that radiated how proud he was of making the USDX Futures trade. I remember during the dollar swan-song of late 1987 when the Plaza Accord was reached; t.v. cameras came every day to the CEC -- they made sure they got time with Joe -- the ambassador spokesman for all of the NY Futures Industry. I will always remember Joe's smile to start the trading day!
