Cousin Kathie will be greatly missed. She was always a warm, kind, loving, caring, sweet person. Her family meant everything in the world to her. You could hear the pride in her voice when she spoke of all her children and grandchildren. We will always remember that it was because of Kathie that the cousins gathered together for an annual cousin picnic at the Massapequa Park which she took the time and devotion to arrange. She will remain in our hearts and memories.

Mrs. Appell , we are saddened about your passing but comforted knowing that you are no longer suffering. You certainly fought a long hard battle and showed everyone how important your job at McKenna meant to you. You worked at McKenna for 30 years I was told and left a lot of memories for the kids , parents and teachers. We will miss seeing you at the front desk and your famous saying "Fuzzy Pickles" that you left behind. May you rest in peace.

Thank you for all the support you gave to myself & Joey this year... you were the only one that was there every morning when we were having a hard time dealing with tears. You gave me encouragement as a mom & offered your prayers for us daily. Today I pray you are at peace watching over your loved ones. I will always remember your support. I'm sure when St. Peter greeted you at the gates.... he asked you to say "Fuzzy Pickles" while he took your picture for your entrance pass.

Kathy, you fought the good fight....your determination and sheer force of will astonished me at times. Even at your weakest you carried on with courage. I will NEVER forget the kindness you showed me during my hardest times, the patience and encouragment you offered melissa, the hugs when you just looked at me and knew it was a bad day....I used to tease you that you should charge people for being their psychologist while doing your best to juggle the kids, the phone, and the door, and the staff. You were an inspiration to me. Rest Easy, my friend. Darleen

She was such a warm person My son broke his leg and I had to leave him in the morning to get up and get on the elevator and she knew I didn't want to leave him. She made me feel so comfortable about leaving. Always made the kids feel good She will be missed.
