Linda (Lynn) Schiffl, 73, of North Massapequa died suddenly on October 28, 2023.  She was born on November 11, 1949 in Manhattan, NY.

The most loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister, Lynn is survived by her husband, Pete; son Marc (Bethann); daughter Jennifer (Chris) Duignan; brother Joseph.  She was adored by her grandchildren Jack and Carly Schiffl and Alannah, Zachery and Declan Duignan.

Lynn’s dedication and interests were led by her role as a mother and grandmother, actively involved in all of the children’s athletic, social and academic awards and accomplishments. She was always her grandchildren’s biggest fan.  Ever present for her family, her loving support was also felt within the Plainedge School District community where she worked as a secretary for over 20 years.

Her husband, Pete, was the love of her life.  They met in Queens and married on July 27, 1968.  They later moved to Long Island and settled in North Massapequa.

Lynn enjoyed family time like no other.  She found great joy being together at family meals, vacations, live music performances and summer socializing at the Harbor Green Beach Club.  She cherished her friendships dearly. She loved playing Mahjong and was always known to bring a smile.

Lynn was a truly great woman whose impact will be forever felt by her entire family, who loves her dearly. She was a selfless woman known to sacrifice, provide support and kindness to others.

Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Thursday, November 2, 2023 from 4:30 to 8:30 pm at Massapequa Funeral Home South Chapel, 4980 Merrick Road, Massapequa Park, NY 11762.  A brief service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, November 3, 2023 at 10:00 am at the funeral home, followed by procession to St. Charles Cemetery for a burial service.
