Marie MacGilvray (Martuscelli), 76, beloved wife of John MacGilvray and loving mother of Darren MacGilvray (Karen) & Patricia McCarthy (Kevin), passed away on August 5, 2021. She was born on May 8^th, 1945, of the late Louis & Carmella Martuscelli. Marie grew up in Flushing, Queens before marrying John and settling in Massapequa in 1972.

Marie attended Francis Lewis High School and was a member of their first graduating class in 1963. She worked as a teacher aide for Nassau BOCES for over 25 years. Marie enjoyed cooking, completing all kinds of word puzzles, reading magazines, and most of all spending her time with family and friends.

In addition to her husband and children, Marie is also survived by her sister Lorraine Bensberg and her husband William (Billy), her grandchildren Kevin Jr., Tyler, Leah, James, Tiffani and Aidan and many nieces and nephews.

To one of my childhood families.......the world lost an amazing, carrying, mother, grandmother and loving woman God could ever give us next to my mom. They were like sisters separated from birth, and Patricia and I were just as close.....good times were had and love was always there.
