Marjorie Paetzold and her husband, Norman, met at Ursinus College, married, and had two daughters, Nancy and Susan. The family of four moved to Massapequa Park from Seaford in 1960. After raising her children, Marjorie went to C.W. Post College, now called Long Island University, to earn a Master’s Degree in Library Science. Shortly thereafter, she was hired as a reference librarian at the Massapequa Public Library where she worked until retirement. She was so proud of her children. Nancy went to the Columbia School of Physicians and Surgeons and earned two residency degrees in internal medicine and anesthesiology. Susan is currently a public school teacher in Rahway, New Jersey. Marjorie loved traveling with Norman and spending time with her grandchildren, Jeremy, Geoffrey, Julie Anne, Johnny, and Brian. She looked forward to visits with her sister, Helen and sister in law, Elinor. Marjorie also appreciated her devoted home health care provider, Marcia. She is survived by Susan, Geoffrey, Julie Anne, Johnny, Brian, Iris, and Avi. Marjorie will be greatly missed by all.
