Mary R Nuzzo, age 84, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday February 12, while surrounded by Her loving children and family members.
Mary was born in The Bronx, NY, and spent her youth there. In 1957 she married her devoted husband, Thomas Nuzzo, and they went on to raise four children after moving to Massapequa Park.
Sadly in 1970, her husband and our dad Tom passed away, and Mary was left with four children ranging in age from 6-12. Mary never hesitated, and successfully raised those four children while going from stay at home mom to a full time career. She was also a very creative crafts person, and was well known on the Long Island Craft Fair circuit for her hand crafted items.
Mary is survived by her four children, Bill (Jeanne), Rick (Nancy), Bob (Gina), and Mary Ann. She is also survived by her grandchildren Jennifer, Anne Marie, Joseph, Katie, Janine, Alyssa, Michael, Joseph & Edward. She is also survived by 10 wonderful great grandchildren.
Mom’s most recent joy was attending the annual Nuzzo Christmas Get Together, and being able to share the day with over 30 of her descendants and spouses under one roof.

I was so sorry to learn that Mary passed on February 12th of this year. We worked together at North Shore Child & Family Guidance Center for several years and I always enjoyed her, her beautiful crafts and warm personality.
