She was close with her parents and siblings. In 1962 MaryAnn married John McGarry. They had 2 daughters, Jean Marie Gray and Catherine McGarry and son in law David Gray.
MaryAnn has always been a caring generous sweet woman who everyone loved and respected. A sister , daughter , mom & friend, she was devoted to all the people she loved.
MaryAnn and John owned the ABC Deli in Massapequa for many years where they worked together. MaryAnn worked as a clerk and did some cooking.
She was always devoted to her family and was a dedicated wife and mother. Growing up as kids we always had the Friday night get togethers & sleepovers with our friends. She was the Mom who would let all the kids come. We spent many night’s watching movies, having pizza and tons of good times. The kids all loved her being there too. They all called her Mom .
With family always first we spent many summers in the bungalow in the Catskills. So many fond memories of family and friends spending time there.
MaryAnn was the most loving devoted “Nana”. She adored her Grandchildren David and Grace and spent so much time with them playing teaching and loving them. A few years ago she became a Great Grandmother, when Victoria was born. Victoria soon became the light of her life and she cherished every minute she spent with her.
Maryann leaves this world to enter Heaven and will be welcomed by so many loved ones. She will be missed by her family and friends.
Maryann leaves behind her loving husband John of 58 years, devoted daughters Cathy & Jean Marie and son in law David, adored grandchildren David & Grace and cherished great grandchild Victoria and dear sister in law Connie. MaryAnn was predeceased by both her brother Arthur and her sister Michele.
