Neil Patrick McLaughlin of Levittown, NY passed away on Friday, August 20, 2021 after his courageous battle with cancer. Neil was the loving youngest brother of Jimmy, Jack (Joanne), Kevin (Christine), Thomas (Noreen) and the late Mary-Gwen (Thomas Imbornoni). His brother-in-law, Thomas Imbornoni, was like another brother to him and cared for Neil in his final days. Neil was predeceased by his mother, Gwen and his father, James. Neil was the beloved uncle to John, Nicole, Gregory, Thomas, Shannon, Ryan, Patrick, Anna, Timmy, Thomas, Liam and Clare. He will be missed by his extended family including his aunts, uncles and all of his cousins.
Neil loved writing, music (especially Van Halen) and art. His wit and creativity brought laughter to all who knew him. He was a passionate NY Islander and NY Met fan who proudly wore his team colors. His sincerity and concerns for all he met was a quality he displayed throughout his life, from his childhood in Rosedale, Queens to his workplace at ExamWorks in Woodbury. He was your friend at all times.
The McLaughlin/FitzGerald family will miss Neil always but we know he is with Jesus and is at peace, smiling and waving to us reassuring us that “every little thing gonna be alright.”
