Pat will be lovingly remembered by her children and their spouses: Ed (Terri), Steve (Doris), Tom (Christine); her eight grandchildren: Kaitlin, Brittany, Steven, Grant, Anna, Megan, Keely, and Michael; her brother, Hank (Carol) Savarese; beloved nephews Jason, Adam, and Chris and their families; and numerous other relatives and friends.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 27 years, Edward (Ed) Ernest Ekert, and her parents, Henry and Cecilia Savarese.

Pat was a beloved mother and grandmother and respected woman of faith in her community. She was a strong believer in Christ.  She loved the Lord, her family, and church community. She joyfully participated in both domestic and international missionary trips. Pat was known for her deep faith in the Lord, constant gratefulness, joy, smile, and gift for prayer. Pat enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, reading, and serving at her church.

Pat was a resident of Massapequa Park, NY for more than 60 years. She will be dearly missed by her friends in the community and by those in the Christian Community Church of Farmingdale, NY.
