My condolences to everyone who knew and loved Patti, I was shocked and saddened to hear the news. This will be a heartbreaking shift in how I now perceive the world, not to have her around. I met Patti through Diane and Mike, and immediately took notice of her warm, infectious laugh. She had an inquisitive nature in people and I can tell you it felt like a big warm hug whenever she asked how I was doing in life, how's the job going, was I in a relationship, etc. I noticed a quick progression in how I addressed her. At first she was Mrs. Reid, or Patti. Within a year of meeting her, I would occasionally call her 'Mom'. The first time I said it, it was in a moment of emotional levity. But it was also a demonstration that I felt a great deal of respect for her. When visiting the family, during kitchen table conversations... it would often be a point of humor for them to watch and see how many ways I would politely refuse many of Patti's offerings. Matt, would you like an omelet? Do you need anything to drink? Juice? Cold tea? Want to try one of these new granola bars I got at the store? Do you need any AA batteries?!....... Thank you Patti, for making an Oregon immigrant feel so welcome on the east coast. Love to all, Matt

My dear sweet Patti, she was/is my guiding light. Smart, sweet, kind, gentle, tuff as nail when needed, but always there for anyone that needed her. How honored I feel to have
her in my life. My heart is broken knowing I will not see her beautiful smile or hear her speak of all her wisdom, Rest in peace my beautiful Patti-cakes...
Pat, my sister cousin, friend, heart soother. I will miss you to the stars and beyond. I hope you know how much you meant to me. I’ll love you forever❤️❤️❤️???
My beloved, awesome sister, I miss you tremendously already. I have so many great memories of days past, especially when we were young, always getting into mischief, sneaking into our house in the wee hours so not to wake mom and dad. We shared so many secrets, tears and laughted until we cried! I don't know how to go on without you. Please send signs so I know you're okay, and watch over your earthly family. I love you so, rest in peace ?️?
To the Reid Family: In Loving memory of Patti
Don't think of her as gone away
Her journey's just begun,
Life holds so many facets
this earth is only one.
Just think of her as resting
from the sorrows and the tears
in place of warmth and comfort
where there are no days and years.
Think how she must be wishing
that we could know today
how nothing but our sadness
can really pass away.
And think of her as living
in the hearts of those she touched
for nothing loved is ever lost
and she was loved so much.
Patti was my soul sister..I will miss her so very much; her smile, her laughter, her shopping, her humor, the love of her family, her love of all animals. God creates many things in this world but HIS best creation was her. The world has lost a precious gift.
Rest in peace my loving Patti
Love you forever...........

To my second mother,
I wish I had just one more day with you to say thank you. Thank you for all the love you so selflessly gave me for so many years of my life. You have been such a huge part of my life for so long, and it was one of the greatest blessings.
You brought joy, laughter, love and so much more to everyone who had the honor of being a part of your world. You and Mr Reid did an absolutely amazing job raising 3 beautiful, loving children.
This world was a better place with you in it, and you took a piece of all our hearts when God took you home too soon.
I am going to miss you so much!! Your warmth, your smile and your love will live on in me forever. I will always think of you when I hear certain songs, and when I watch a golden girl re-run. I have loved you when seems like my whole life and I will continue to love for for the rest of it!!
Thank you again for being who you were and helping to make me who I am.
Love always,
“Your T Bart”
