My condolences to Denise and the children. As the athletic trainer during Pat’s HU days, we had a great relationship as he was one of my favorites. I left HU and he graduated, but kept in touch through TC at KP and whenever I went to Yankee games I would stop in at the bar for a nightcap. He was a great guy and always made me feel special by calling me whenever the old HU crew was getting together. He was a special person and Irv and him are probably playing one vs. one already. May he Rest In Peace and have perpetual light shine upon him.

Pat was a wonderful guy and its hard to believe that he's gone. We went to Hofstra together and remained friends, though we hadn't seen each other in 25 years. It was great to talk with Pat in June after I learned of his diagnosis. As usual, Pat was stoic, philosophical, self effacing and funny. My heart breaks for Denise and their children. A good man was taken from us far too soon. Rest in peace my friend. Bethaney and I miss you.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

Pat Kammerer was a larger than life person who was beloved by his family, many friends, and Hofstra basketball teammates with whom he was enshrined to the Hofstra Basketball Hall of Fame. Pat was a formidable competitor whose ferocious competitive drive perfectly complimented his 6'9 rock-like physical presence. Off the court, Pat was an affable, fun- loving personality that endeared him to all. He leaves us all with fond eternal memories. R.I.P Big Man. You will be.missed! Coach Gaeckler

Denise, I never got to meet you, but when I worked with Pat at YellowBook, he always talked about you & your children so lovingly, I can only imagine how difficult his passing must be for you & your family, to whom I extend my heartfelt condolences, He was a great guy and we shared many long chats and lots of laughs together. Though we really didn't see each after he left YB, we always touched base on the phone several times a year to catch up on each other's life, So glad I got to speak to him a few weeks ago. I still have the funny message he left on my phone before we spoke , that I doubt I'll ever erase. Gone far too soon, Pat will indeed be missed by oh so many people! I will always remember him fondly. My thoughts & prayers are with you and your family.

Pat was a basketball teammate and friend for close to 50 yrs., but to me he was more like a Big Brother. Whenever you needed a helping hand or an ear to listen, you could always count on Pat to be there. He was a gentle giant- both physically and compassionately as he truly cared for others. His selflessness was his virtue; whether on the basketball court, with his friends or family, Pat always the Rock! I will always look for Pat sitting in his favorite seat at the Hofstra Basketball games and will frequently play his last voicemail to me inquiring how my wife was healing from a serious accident- all while he was in the fight of his life. I will miss 6'9" forever!
