I had the privilege and joy of working with Richard in physical therapy. Richard had a wonderful sense of humor and worked very hard through all the challenging exercises and walking. I admired Richard’s perseverance and will miss seeing him. With deepest sympathy and prayers, Rita

This photo of Rich (or Grandpa) with my sons Ryan and Sean at Walt Disney World sums how low lucky we all were to have known and loved Rich. He was such an inspiration to me and no doubt to everyone. He had such patience with my kids. He loved to laugh and play with them. He was open to just about anything - from indoor water parks to cruise ships to watching Ryan and Sean play baseball and basketball. More importantly, Rich really cared and it always showed. He knew how to enjoy the moment and make sure that you were enjoying the moment. He was also someone that you could always lean on. He was always there to offer acceptance and support. Rich had a great laugh and a great smile and that is how I will remember him. We will miss him dearly but because of the positive and loving impact that he had on all of us he will never be forgotten. Thanks so much Rich for the amazing memories and for being such a great grandpa to Ryan, Sean, and Kaylee. You were big and meaningful part of their lives and my life and of course my mom's life. And for that I will be eternally grateful to you. We miss you deeply.

Dear Dad, I want to thank your for raising myself and my brother Rick and for being in my life for 65 years. We had so many adventures and fun times. I will miss your wisdom your advice and your contagious laugh. You strived for us kids to have an education and a better life. I will always remember you saying,' writing is rewriting' with every college paper you helped me with. Rick always said " Daddy is top shelf" and you were. Thank you God for choosing him to be our Dad and giving him to us for this short time on earth. I hope there are Milky Way candy bars up in heaven and that you, Rick and Uncle Warren are playing a game of Chess. Thank you Dad, I will miss you and until we meet again..... Your Loving Daughter, Patty xoxo

The human race has lost one of the best. Richard Rose was kind smart with a great sense of humor. It’s was my honor to have meet Richard approximately 18 years ago only a short time it’s seems. I meet Richard when I stared dating his daughter Patty 18 years ago.I knew from the day I meet Richard he was top shelf that’s a quote from his daughter Patty and his son Richie they always said our dad top shelf and I couldn’t’ agree more. Richard and my brother Peewee became good friends played many games of fling ball at my camp on Tinmouth Pond my brother Peewee gone now but I’m sure they are playing fling ball again. I will miss miss Richard he was a great guy full of knowledge. My deepest sympathy goes out to everyone that knew Richard and his family.

I have many nice memories being with Uncle Richie, he had a kindness to him and a big heart and was a fighter for the underdog - a trait of the Rose family! :) I remember many times when I was a boy, being together with the extended family, (my parents, grandpa, Aunt Arlene, Julie, Neil, Rick, PattyAnn, PJ, Kathleen, Kevin), I can see it now...Grandpa is sitting at Aunt Arlene's kitchen table, Aunt Arlene is cooking something...there's all of us kids hanging around making noise....I can see Uncle Richie and my father talking and laughing about how they grew up as kids, all the funny stories, Uncle Richie would say to my dad, "Hey Warren, you remember when...", then they'd laugh and a few minutes later you'd hear my father say "Hey Richie remember when..." - When Kevin and I were teenagers Uncle Richie gave us a fun tour of Manhattan during the day and night. I enjoyed speaking with him and seeing him the last 15 years here in Florida when he would come visit. I know he loved us all very much and we all feel the same. Good memories. But, I know this isn't the end at all, and take comfort in knowing that God promises there will be a resurrection where he will live again and we can be together with all our dead loves ones, who will live again. - Then we'll all be together again around that kitchen table :) Acts: 24:15 And I have hope toward God, which hope these men also look forward to, that there is going to be a resurrection... Warren

I remember Mr. Rose as being a very loving father to his children Patty and Butchy. He use to play baseball and kick the can with us kids on the hill, Capitol Heights Road Oyster Bay, New York. I had a lot of good fun memories with them. You were a good man Mr. Rose and you'll be missed and never be forgotten. My life long dear friend Patty, I am so deeply sorry for your lost. My sincere condolences. Love Janie
