Samantha was passionate about raising awareness for Suicide Prevention. In the spirit of continuing that awareness, the family requests donations in her memory, in lieu of flowers to The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.

Sam, I still can’t believe this is real. My condolences to your whole family and all of your friends. We made some amazing memories together and I will cherish those moments even more than before. Life is so unfair and the good ones are the ones who are taken too soon. I’m so proud of everything you accomplished and how hard you worked for it. This is not good bye as good bye is forever, this is simply a see you later.

Sam, Its been several years now but I remember you were always a breath of fresh air with a smile on your face and hugs for your friends. A light has gone out here on Earth but your light will shine from Heaven now for all of us to see. Rest in peace Sam you will be missed.

Sam: When I heard the news, I was at a loss for words. I’ve known you for 10 years and we never got to meet, but you were everything someone would want in a friend; supportive, encouraging, empowering, and kind. There is no one I’d rather share our birthday with. I will miss our chats about musicals or tv shows or catching each other up on our lives as we follow our dreams. You were and always will be amazing. And you will be so missed.

Sam was such a beautifully bright, charming, funny and warm person. I will never forget her laughter, and how much she made me laugh. I have so many smiles shared and bright memories that I’ll always cherish. My heart is with her family and those closet to her.

I knew from the beginning she would be great... and she was. Sam & I worked together the last year & a half & have had many laughs together... she called me her "Work Mom"... and she will be missed ?

Sweet Sam, there are so many memories and laughs we shared over the years from talking about Twilight till 1am to freaking out over Islanders playoff hockey this year. I’ll cherish the days we spent together studying at Nassau, giggling at our professors and dreading pathology. You were such a spirited, funny and bubbly girl. I remember you showed me a slideshow you made consisting of all the reasons it’s a good idea to get a cat, as you were trying to convince your family to let you get one. I thought it was hilarious. I was so proud of you when you got your funeral directing license because I know how excited and passionate you felt for it. I’ll remember you always, Sam.
