Peter Brennan left a message on January 9, 2020:
Sheila was the grand dame of the Brennan clan. She always presented herself with elegance and grace. She never missed a family gathering holding the distinction of Perfect Attendance at our annual outing of over 50 years. She generously shared her daughter’s HS graduation festivities with our daughter’s making it a very special event for Cynthia. Everyone seemed to recognize her class. We went to an Army football game at West Point one year. All in the party were looking around for Sheila. She appeared just before game time saying that she had been a guest at the VIP tent. OF COURSE! She need only to enter the area and one would know she was there. She was a notable teacher and brought her experiences into her own home raising her wonderful children, helping to model them into the wonderful women they became. She could not have been prouder and rightly so, but would mostly talk about them in their humanity, with the way they cared about others with humility and sensitivity. I always enjoyed a quiet moment at family parties or being a guest at her home where she would want to share and catch up on all the happenings with my family. There will be an empty seat in the ballroom that only she could fill. My wife and I will miss her and look forward to joining well organized event on the other side.
