Sadly we lost our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin Teresa Carol Bartkus Young Monday, November 6, 2023.

Teresa was born February 3, 1949 in Queens, NY. Teresa attended Alfred G Berner High School and went on to become an LPN Nurse. Her passions for cooking and shopping were only surpassed by her passion for her family. A reliable source of information for recipes, great shopping bargains and the best grandma hugs ever, Teresa will be eternally missed by her son Michael Young, son Steven Young and daughter Tracy Young, as well as her sister Carol Dornhofer, brothers Stanley, Joseph and Richard Bartkus, grandchildren Zachery Young, Josephine Young, Michael Mason Young and Great Grandson Grayson Eric Young.

Services to honor Teresa’s life will be held in the North Chapel of the Massapequa Funeral Home, Saturday, November 11, 2023 from 12:00-4:00 PM

Terry just came to my mind today so I decided to “google” her name. So sorry to hear of her passing. We were young moms together 50 years ago and had A LOT in common then. I remember how much she loved her kids. Prayers to all and trust you will see her again, I know she had faith. 🙏🏻😇

I was so sorry to hear of Terrys passing. We’ve been neighbors since I moved here 22 years ago. Terry was always very sweet and always had kind words when I stopped to chat. She came over when my husband passed away and offered me her condolences and prayers. We always waved and talked a bit when I passed by. I hope she finds peace and I send my condolences to her children and family.
