Tom, I was actually driving thru middle village when I got the news about Trudy. I am so sorry for you and your family's loss. I remembered going to your place to watch young Tom while you and Trudy went out. My math might be off but roughly 50 years ago? We will talk soon Bill

A long time ago, when I was a boy, I used to see my Aunt Trudy much more often. She was my dads’ (George) sister. We (George, Catherine, myself/Daniel, Justin and Kate) would see her and the family on different holidays or weekends. I remember one time we went over to their house on Long Island, it must have been about this time of the year. There was an NFL game going on. There was all kind of food, friends of the family, joy, and happiness. It was loud :). My Aunt and Uncle would check on me from time to time, and I remember thinking how good it is to be in the family. Other times we would meet at my grandparents’ house in Ridgewood. Uncle Tom always had a good joke or story, and my Aunt Trudy would be right there egging him on out loud. It was always so much fun hearing the laughter. My mom and dad loved the family, jokes, and fun. My dad loves his sister. Those days were part of my upbringing and created markers for me on how I should raise a family. As time has gone on, and we have all gotten older, my now grown-up children (Vincent and Kelly) heard stories about her and met her at my parents 50th anniversary. I now live in Florida. I haven’t seen our northern family in a while. I talked with my aunt earlier this year, we exchanged photos. She was proud of her family and wanted to show them off to me. She told me stories about the kids and grandchildren. I traded pics of what was happening down here, pics and updates regarding my parents, and news with my piece of the family. In losing my Aunt I am sad. I know we will all benefit from our memories and experiences with my aunt. We are praying for her and our entire extended family and friends. RIP my Aunt Trudy. Tom, My sincere condolences to you and your entire family, The photo you chose for Trudy's obituary brings back fond memories of a lovely, spunky and delightful young lady I knew way back when. She always brought something special to the party, and was fun to be around. Hoping the memories you have both shared for many years will carry you thru this difficult time.

There are no words to express how sad I am to hear of Trudy's passing. She will always be in my heart as Ed and George's little sister, who would run to our house on Palmetto St. to play with my younger sister Vivian Johanssen Dunne. Through the years, Trudy and Vivian were in the Youth Group at Trinity Reformed Church, Ridgewood, the Girl Scouts and Junior High 93Q together. Trudy was always a warm, outgoing presence. My deepest condolences to Trudy's family.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

Aunt Trudy was my Godmother. I remember being young and being so excited to have a Godmother who was so tough and from New York! Sorry for the loss. Matthew 11:28
