Vincent Cirrito 12/4/38-10/19/21
Vinny Cirrito was born into eternal life on October 19, 2021 the 64th anniversary of the day he met his soulmate Terry. He passes after a brave battle with cancer and kidney disease.
Vinny was born in East NY to Cosimo and Victoria Cirrito. The youngest and only surviving child of the couples 3 children. Vinny had a magnificent mind, a proud alumnus of Brooklyn Polytechnic Institute (‘60) and was a Chemical engineer for Grumman Corporation for 34 years. He enjoyed teaching and after retirement he taught courses at SUNY Farmingdale in Thermonuclear Dynamics. He was a sought-after instructor for professional engineering exam preparation courses. He was sent to Singapore by Grumman Aerospace to teach courses in aviation technology. He volunteered services to the Catholic Churches as a Catechist, Lector, Consolation minister, Eucharistic minister, a District coordinator for Marriage Encounter, Recruiter for Cursillo movement on Long Island, and a member and promoter of Contemplative outreach and Centering prayer. A humble and spiritual man who sought peace in all things. An avid traveler, he saw the world with his sweetheart of 61 years, Terry.
Vinny was a loving son and son-in-law to Vicky, Cosimo (Gus), Theresa and Jimmy all of whom we are sure greeted him with open arms on the second part of his journey. He was the father of six children whom he loved and guided to successful lives. He doted on his ten grandchildren. He was always happiest in the presence of his family.
