I'll never forget the day we were hiking back from the ledges and almost stepped on a rattlesnake. You didn't see it. I didn't see it. And the dog (Sydney) didn't see it. Fortunately its rattle alerted us before we put a foot down on it.

I'll never forget the day we were hiking back from the ledges with Sydney (my dog ) and we almost stepped on a rattlesnake. It's amazing that neither of us saw the snake and lucky it decided to rattle before striking at either of us.

I have many memories of Walter. We worked together at GMC from 1986 until I retired in 2002. Walter was a serious guy but also had a great sense of humor. Many times he cracked me up making faces or marching up and and down the aisles at work. Saluting and often getting caught by the boss. He was a great guy and good friend. He will be missed. I can see him marching the aisles of Heaven.
