Kathy, my heart is broken for your loss. I remember you both fondly, and I had a wonderful time working with Wayne "back in the day". I was out to dinner last night with friends, and told them about this guy who told me 50 different jokes every time I saw him, with only one or two repeats. Wayne. Our trip to Paris for the Knundson distributor meeting was an event of a lifetime- you in your "pinks", and Wayne with his American Flag Statue of Liberty tie. I will never forget him. Sorry I am apparently a year late in sending you this message, but having brought him up last night, I searched for him online, and found this notice. My deepest condolences, and fond wishes for the best for you and yours.

Dear Kathy, Todd, Alex and Sandy: Of all the wonderful people I've met in this great town, Wayne was among the best! His heart, jovial spirt, and warm welcome every time we met, is what I'll remember. He was a proud husband, getting Kathy her new Florida car upgraded from her old Sears car, and proud father at Brady Park watching Todd and Alex play baseball, or at a dance recital watching Sandy. He will be missed by all who knew him. With love and prayers, Ken

Kathryn and family, Fred remembers the good times he had with Kathy and Wayne in Florida. I remember the very good Chinese food in Ft Myers one day and how Wayne brought a buyer for Fred's hunting guns. May the good Lord greet him and give him a hug for all of us.

MY DEEPEST SYMPATHY TO THE VAHLDIECK FAMILY .YOU MAY NOT REMEMBER ME BUT TODD YOU AND YOUR PARENTS WERE VERY SPECIAL PEOPLE. TODD YOU WERE A STUDENT OF MINE IN 6TH GRADE MANY YEARS AGO. YOUR PARENTS WERE THE KINDEST , CARING PARENTS I EVER MET. IN 29 YEARS OF TEACHING YOUR MOM WAS THE ONLY ONE WHO BROUGHT ME COFFEE AND A TREAT ON PARENT CONFERENCE DAY. I NEVER FORGOT THAT. YOUR DAD ALWAYS ASKED IF I NEEDED ANYTHING AND HE TOO, WAS VERY SPECIAL. I'M SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS TO YOU , YOUR DEAR MOM, AND ALL YOUR FAMILY. MAY MR. VAHLDIECK REST IN PEACE. MOST SINCERELY, DOLORES GENOVESE

My dear cousin Kathryn, to you and your family I send my love and sympathy. Wayne was something special and I know how deeply he loved you all. There are so many wonderful memories from our family gatherings at our parents homes. They were fun, we were loud, and love was always there. There are so many memories. I can still see the time when Wayne said to my father, "Uncle Joe, I have an idea," Right then and there Wayne and my father, sitting at our kitchen, working on rough plans. As they say the rest is history. May the history of love and devotion you and Wayne shared carry you through this heartbreaking time. Love Robert.

I knew my brother-in-law since I was six years old. He was always a guy that was sure of his opinion and decisions. His opinions were his and he didn’t care who liked or disliked them. He treated everyone the same and he was never prejudiced against anyone. I worked with Wayne for 16 years and I can’t say we always agreed on things, but he always listened and respected others opinions. He was a generous guy and had a big heart. Family was everything to Wayne and supported anyone who felt that their family came first. Although I went through a lot of ups and downs with Wayne over the years, he always had my back and for this I will always be grateful. I know that I will miss our near daily phone calls and I will miss him telling his many jokes. Wayne loved a good laugh. He was quick with his wit and I know he will be keeping St. Peter amused with his many tales and jokes. Rest now Wayne, you are home. Richie
