William Adam Hubner

March 30, 1940 – July 26, 2020

William A. Hubner of Massapequa Park, entered into eternal rest on July 26, 2020 after 80 years. Loving husband of Linda for 57 years. Devoted father of Elizabeth, Joseph (Stephanie) and Nicole Oberheim (Brian). Cherished Opa of Mikayla, Joseph, Sarah, Andreas, Kiersten and Markus. Born in Long Island City on March 30, 1940 to Annamaria (Killian) and Nikalaus Hubner. He will be greatly missed by his family and by his many friends especially in the German-American community.

Both of these charities were special to William. The Paul Ulrich Sr. Memorial Scholarship provides financial assistance to students involved in the promotion of Bavarian and Tyrolean cultural heritage in America. Fikia Dada – Reach a Girl Rescue Centre in Limuru, Kenya houses women, who are survivors of sexual violence and their young children, and helps them rebuild their lives. William’s granddaughter Mikayla volunteered with the organization for eight weeks earlier this year.
